Princess Royal Training Awards
Highlights film for the Princess Royal Training Awards
The Princess Royal Training Awards is an award provided by the City & Guilds Foundation for companies providing exceptional training to their employees. The Awards is hosted each year in St. James's Palace, London, and is attended by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne.
There are strict filming and photography rules when filming inside St. James's Palace. Very few production companies have been allowed to film within the grounds of St. James's Palace, we were very privileged for the opportunity.
The shoot broke down into 3 stages:
- Guests arriving at the Palace and socialising
- The arrival of HRH Princess Anne and the Award Ceremony
- HRH speaking with small groups of Award winners
It was really important that we filmed the space to show how grand the location is - to achieve this we shot on wide angle lenses to emphasis the sense of scale.
To film the Award Ceremony we had two Sony A7III's on a riser at the back of the room one with a Sony GM 70-200 and one with a Sony GM 24-70.
During the Ceremony we had a direct recording of the speeches by connecting a Sound Devices Mix-Pre II to the soundboard.
