Gain (dB)
A measure of the amplification level of an audio signal, expressed in decibels (dB).
Gain controls how much the signal's amplitude is increased before it reaches the output stage. In podcasting, Adjusting the gain appropriately ensures that the recorded audio is strong enough to be clearly heard but not so strong that it distorts. For example, if the gain is set too high, it can lead to clipping or excessive compression. Conversely, if the gain is too low, the audio may be too quiet and could get lost in background noise.
