Condenser Microphone

A type of microphone known for its sensitivity and accuracy.

Condenser microphones use a capacitor to convert sound waves into electrical signal and require an external power source, typically provided by phantom power. They are widely used for their ability to pick up subtle nuances in the voice, however, due to this increased sensitivity, they also pick up more background noise, so they are best used in controlled environments.
