Cold Open
An introductory segment that starts before the introduction.
A cold open will always appear before any formal music or formal introduction. The cold open can give a quick taster of what is to come in the episode. For the cold open, you could start with an intriguing question, a compelling story snippet, or a highlight from the episode to grab the listener's attention right away. The main benefit of a cold open, is that you are instantly able to hook the listener in, before getting into the introduction.
