Show notes play three main roles for you and your podcast. Firstly, they act as a blurb, allowing the listener to understand what the episode is about as a glance. Secondly, much like a good title, show notes can help with the SEO of the episode, making your podcast more discoverable to potential listeners. Lastly, show notes can act as a bank of useful resources that can provide supplemental information or content to be consumed after the episode has finished. You will want to write bespoke show notes for every episode and include a summary of the episode, timestamps, links to resources mentioned in the episode and contact information.
